10 Simple Habits That Will Change Your Life For Good

Do you know that to live a happy and fulfilled life, all you need to do is adopt a few simple habits, and that’s it?

It is a fact that we are conditioned to be optimistic—to be happy and positive all the time. We have been imposing this belief on our minds. I am referring to a belief so mistaken in our subconscious mind that when we are upset or hurt, we begin to feel even more unmotivated and devastated because we cannot meet our brain’s false expectations.

It is a fact that at some point in life, we are bound to feel negative, depressed, and unmotivated. And it’s okay to feel that way. So when we are on an emotional roller coaster and trying to balance ourselves, these 10 habits would be a great help. These have been tried and tested by me! And they work perfectly.

Here are the 10 habits that will change your life:

1. Write in a journal.

Write in two parts in the journal. In one part, write about things you did in a day that made you happy. Elsewhere, write things that make you feel sad and depressed.

Once you write this part, read it and simply cut it out with your pen. You will feel relaxed. By doing so, we will not erase these ugly things or memories, but we will simply accept them and overcome them as soon as possible.

2. Keep a book of manifestations or affirmations.

Now, this is something fancy but effective. Keep a book in which you write down the things you want to manifest. Write about your dreams. Write down your wish list here. And in the affirmation book, write down the qualities you want for your self-development.

Be sure to use the present tense when writing, not the present continuous or future tense. For example, I am confident. I am brave. And I feel like you already have it. This has transformed the lives of many people around me, including mine!

3. Praise for small things.

Praise is never wasted. Congratulate the people around you.

Thank your mom for sacrificing her dreams for you and your family.

Thank your dad, who always tries to treat you like a prince or princess.

Thank your spouse for his unconditional love and fabulous company.

Thank the friends who were always there for you.

Thank your siblings for all the little fights that bring immense joy and strengthen the bond.

Thank the universe for helping you fulfill your wishes.

Thank nature for providing you with many resources.

Thank your neighbors who cooked the delicious dishes at the weekend dinner.

Thank everyone around you.

Everyone teaches you something, so make them happy with simple compliments.

4. Enjoy the little things.

This is something I have been doing since my childhood. I love enjoying the little things. Let it be the first snow or rain. Let it be my grandmother’s kiss. Let it be playing with the children. Let your pets get wet in the rain. Let it be gardening and talking to my plants while I water them. The little things often end up giving you more happiness.

5. Self-love.

This is very important. Pamper yourself. Personal care. Respect yourself. Self-love should be our habit.

It is said, “Feel guilty for not prioritizing yourself first.” Doing things you love, like pampering your body, becomes a habit if you choose to do these practices daily.

Self-love is the best medicine.

6. Meditation.

This connects you with your inner self. Just stop your mental chatter. It makes you feel at peace and also gives you an advantage in the form of mental strength.

Take at least 15 minutes a day to connect with your inner voice and inner soul.

7. Make time for a hobby.

Don’t you think that many times we don’t pay attention to our hobbies because of our tedious and busy schedules? Being a busy student, a busy businessman, a busy housewife, and generally busy working people, we often forget to justify the talents within us. Over time, we end up suppressing them.

But you should let them out. Spend some time on your talents and hobbies. Spending time on our hobbies is as good as spending time on our souls.

So, are you ready to play your guitar after a long gap?

Let’s start then.

8. Give yourself gifts.

I tell my secret to be motivated. I constantly failed my exams on more than seven attempts. But I remember that he used to give me a little treat every time to keep me motivated.

The failure phase is not permanent, so improve your mood with a little self-assessment. Give yourself a gift on your victories and on your special days. Don’t wait until someone comes and appreciates you by giving them something.

9. Try to fight alone.

This sounds weird, right?

We always need someone around us to fight our problems. We trust our people, thinking that they will fight together with us and our problems. But most of the time, we end up fighting alone. And in this case, it is really good to be self-sufficient.

Of course, we need to receive guidance and advice to better cope with the situation, but expecting others to solve our issues and problems is like a fairy tale.

So train your mind for this instead of training it to rely on others in your difficult times. The way we feel responsible for our success allows us to be more responsible and accountable for failures as well.

10. Stamp in mind. “It’s okay to be messy and imperfect.”

Half our lives are spent proving ourselves, becoming perfect, being ordained, etc. But it sounds boring, right? Just tell your mind that it’s okay to not achieve all of these things!

Trying to be perfect and ideal consumes a lot of energy and also frustrates us when we see that we cannot live up to our own expectations.

Tell yourself that I am perfect with my imperfections. Accept your flaws and enjoy them. Tell your mind that it is okay to fail, as failure is a part of life.

We never like to read a story of successful people who never struggled and achieved success, right? So self-acceptance is very important for self-love.

They seem like very simple things to do, but if you make each one your habit, your life will change little by little. You will experience more satisfaction than ever.

And even if no one likes or loves you, there will always be one person who will love you from the bottom of their heart.

You know who that person is.

I hope this article helps you understand your soul.
