Take a Break from Worrying About What You Can’t Control

We cannot live with too much worry.

Worrying actually leads us to fear, and fear leads us to make bad decisions and avoid what we need to do. On the other hand, worrying could lead to unhappiness and resentment towards others because you trust what you think. This is what we call overthinking.

If we can manage our worries and take immediate action, we will be able to overcome the fear and obstacles we face. We can achieve what we want in life and become the best version of ourselves when we make decisions and work.

So, to deal with worry, you need to know a few things about why we worry too much to tackle the roots or cause, which could lead us to disaster.

You worry because you don’t know what the ending will be.
We all wanted to know what would happen in the final scene.

At least we have some certainty that everything will go as planned. However, we tried to plan too much and then control what the ending would look like.

Little did you know that, in the end, people might react differently to what you had planned. You visualize, but yet there is no sign of what the end will be.

It ended up being something we called anxiety and overthinking.

You are worried because you don’t know where you will be in the future.

You know what you want in the future, but is it really going to be like this?

You know what you plan for the future, but is it really going to be like this?

You know what you envision for the future, but is it really going to happen like this?

Too much thinking actually leads to more worry and anxiety. We have once again been overthinking and not really thinking about what the present moment is.

We end up living in the future and mostly forgetting where we are now.

You worry because you don’t know what to do.
Some disasters can happen at any time.

Your job might be frustrating right now.

Your business may not be making a profit right now.

Your family may not be having their happiest time right now.

Despite this, we are still thinking about what to do instead of saying yes to what has already happened.

Not knowing what to do and being frustrated in figuring it out ends up being worrying.

Sometimes we can only let things happen today and focus on what we usually do. This is where you are trained to be more forgiving, to let go of things that have already been done and leave them alone.

You worry too much about “What should I do now?» instead of really seeing the situation and just saying yes to it for a moment. I’m not asking you to give up if the world is falling apart, but at least take a moment to see the world or situation you currently find yourself in.

Once you are in a state of peace, you will know what you need to do rather than what you “want” to do.

You worry because you are not in the “right” place.
You think you’re supposed to be somewhere else.

You think you’re supposed to be rich right now.

You think you work in the wrong place.

You think you are in the wrong environment.

Where you are now is part of your progression toward becoming a better person. You are settled in a certain place for a reason. God, always give us something we don’t expect but really need.

Our own eyes cannot see it, but God knows what is good for you and what is not.

This is why we end up controlling what we cannot control.
We are human beings incapable of seeing the future or even returning to the past.

We simply live in this world, rented out, in a world where we didn’t build it. Yet we arrogantly try to control what we can’t control and worry about something that doesn’t need to be thought about.

This is where the worry eventually escalates and becomes depressing.

Stop worrying about what you can’t control and live a little.
Yes, you’re right; sometimes we are not in the “right” place.

Maybe we’re not in the best situation right now, but is it really important to think about it all the time and worry too much?

We live to live, not to think all the time.

The more you are in touch with reality and “live a little” in your life, the more you will know that you are okay.

You may still be worrying about your current situation rather than actually doing what you need to do.

So separate what you can control and what you can’t control. Let yourself focus on what you can’t control and on what you can control, which is doing the thing.

You are here to become better for God, for yourself, for your family, and for the people of this world. You were born to become something God created you to be.
